EL-03 Winter Whale Watching

The winter season has proven to provide an exciting and adventurous whale watching experience. The most common whales during winter season are white-beaked dolphins, harbour porpoises, humpback whales and killer whales. The winter whale watching is differentfrom whale watching in summer time not only because we spot other species, but also because the weather can be quite unpredictable. On rare occasion, we depart from other harbours in the area where weather conditions might be more convenient. It is therefore our experience and flexibility that make winter whale watching possible in Iceland.

Season: 1 November to 31 March
Duration: 3-5 hours
Tips: Dress warmly and don't be shy to also put on our warm overalls!
